Why are they closing Orange Email?
Since Orange Email was first introduced, a wide variety of providers have launched offering free email services with more advanced functionality. As a result, the number of Orange Email users has been in decline.
They have therefore decided to close Orange Email on 31 May 2017, so you can move to a better email experience, and they can focus on providing their customers with the best possible products and services.
Which email addresses are affected?
The addresses affected by the closure are:
Does this affect the mobile or broadband services I have with Orange or EE?
Other services you have with EE or any of its other brands like Orange or T-Mobile aren’t affected but you may need to update your username or contact email address for these services.
This is not the first time that a major email supplier has shut down.
If you have had any of the above emails you are likely to have had it for some years and we know from experience how many places that this information is saved.
Not only do you have to set up a new email address and transfer your address book to the new one but you also have to sign on to every supplier that you have registered with including your Bank and change your password to the new one.

Action is required now rather than later. Once a new email has been set up you will need to advise all your contacts of the new address and as new emails come in on the old address log on to that supplier and change to the new one.
