Service Provision during the Coronavirus Emergency

Since the Stay at Home directive from the Government on Monday 23rd March 2020 we have been trying to establish what level of service we can offer my Customers.

We have had several calls since Monday asking what level of support we are able to give and we have had to answer that we were waiting for confirmation.

Work carried out in people’s homes
Work carried out in people’s homes, for example by tradespeople carrying out repairs and maintenance, can continue, provided that the tradesperson is well and has no symptoms.

Again, it will be important to ensure that Public Health England guidelines, including maintaining a two-metre distance from any household occupants, are followed to ensure everyone’s safety.
No work should be carried out in any household which is isolating or where an individual is being shielded, unless it is to remedy a direct risk to the safety of the household, such as emergency plumbing or repairs, and where the tradesperson is willing to do so. In such cases, Public Health England can provide advice to tradespeople and households.

No work should be carried out by a tradesperson who has coronavirus symptoms, however mild.


Now that the information has been clarified we can advise you of our support package

Primarily we will attempt to carry on with Business as Usual as possible.

Remote Access is now our primary means of communications and repair

Please note if you are supplied Broadband by TalkTalk all their routers have built in software that blocks any Remote Access so we are unable to respond easily.

95% of our business is Home Based and a large proportion of that is the Over 70’s many of whom we have supported for over 20 years.

Wherever possible, if we have to go out, we are planning to collect your PC work on it and return it to you after repair.

Our priority will be to support the old and vulnerable during this national Emergency.

If a home visit is inevitable minimum interaction and the required 2 metre distancing will be enforced.

Bring your PC to us if remote access is not possible we would prefer that you bring your PC to us and we will repair ASAP to reduce your downtime.
